First4 is mainly a bugfix release after first3. Don't use first3 any more. First attempts of PNG support added though, if you encounter problem with it - edit - comment the line `PNGSUPPORT=Yes'. Anyway it should work.

Planned duties before second

Now 2 features remained before second release. I want to add png support, I'ld like to get sg like

(set descr (pngopen "some.png"))
(set coords (drawpng (list descr x y)))
(sleep 100)
(xcleararea coords)
(pngclose descr)

The other stuff would be the pcap support. It would be very nice if OML could read the tcp/udp traffic and could produce network statistics.

In the new version you can set up a few stuff via init.oml. This file is parsed before anything else, and it is run only once. There are some predeclared variables affecting the look of OpenMONI window like the position on the screen. Check out init.oml. Currently only the CVS version contains this. A few other options are going to move in this file like transparency - perhaps background image etc.

First3 contains the backing store algorithm, that means the end of the flickering effect during exposure (X11) events. The build process now doesn't require any additional tool on a standard OpenBSD installation. This is achieved as the doc(umentation - hungarian) generation is disabled by default. You can enable it if you want by adding `doc' to RECURSE in the main Makefile.

Ugh I've forgotten to make clean in first2

Ugh, sorry everyone who downloads openmoni-first2 release, .depend files remained in the tarball.
Anyway if you compile as

$ make clean
$ make
# make install
$ make clean

it should work. This will be fixed (among other bugs) in first3.
